award winning framers
Winners Again
David Wilkie GCF of The Eagle Gallery has won the Fine Art Trade Guild Framing Competition 2011, making an unprecedented seventh Guild Framing Award.
As we have proved yet again we are among the best when it comes to framing design and craftsmanship.
Framing is as much an art as a craft and making the right choice of colour, material and proportions is essential in making any piece look its best.
We specialise in mount cutting and decorating which can be as ornate, simple or subtle as required, but never forgetting that the most important element is the object being framed.
The Eagle Gallery has now won 8 major national framing titles, this includes winning 7 Fine Art Trade Guild Framing Awards. Over the years a total of 7 framers at the gallery have won, been finalists or commended in over 26 framing competitions.
These are the same skills used every day when dealing with a clients work, whether it is a simple photograph, original work or memorabilia collection.
All our work follows Fine Art Trade Guild Standards, normally working to conservation level 4, we also work to the highest quality, museum level 5 for the ultimate in preservation and reversibility. We only use conservation and museum quality mountboard and on items of any value, financial or sentimental, we fit a UV filtering glass as standard.
