gunnar mounts

A Gunnar F1 Hybrid computerised mount cutter is our latest acquisition. Previously we had two manual cutters, one for straight cuts and one for circles and ovals, everything else had to be done free hand. The Gunnar still uses a blade to cut but there are now a seemingly infinite number of cutting choices.

The machine will cut at 500mm/sec using microstep motors accurate to 0.02mm. This state of the art machine with the latest advanced software means that as well as our regular mounts we can now cut intricate and multi-aperture mounts easier and faster and offer more options at a quality and price not possible before.

On this page is a selection of mounts showing what is possible on the Gunnar.

Competition Winner 2011

The first Award Winning design with our Gunnar Computerised Mount Cutter. As well as the regular mount cutting all the lettering and flags were cut on the Gunnar.

Who Dares

This is our most ambitious mount to date. The image is of an SAS jeep in the North African Desert circa 1942. A Union Jack is cut into the top mount, the regimental moto is in a raised banner and the badge is raised and angled to the side.
