award winning framers
Sports shirts are not just limited to football shirts, although these are the most common. Below are examples of jockey silks, rugby shirts, cricket jumper and golf T-shirt.
The framing does not have to be confined to the shirt on its own. Other items can be included within the design to tell more of a story, this can include photographs, badges, tickets, programs and other mementoes.
Our shirts are framed to conservation standards, a former is inserted into the shirt to give it shape, this is then stitched onto a backing board for framing. All procedures are reversable and no tapes or adhesives are used on the shirt, as these can cause irreversible damage and reduce any value.
This selection shows some of the options available when framing a sports shirt.
Top left is our prefered standard style with a top mount, in this case the bevel has been hand coloured red to further enhance the display. Next is a triple top mount and cut out for a raised text box. Also shown is a folded style and a shirt without a top mount .
If you have a shirt with numerous signatures it is worth making a note of all the names as it is often impossible to decipher the autographs even if you know who has signed.
